About Us
The Northern Territory’s Most Trusted Traffic Management Company
Founded in March 2010, Trafficwerx NT set out with a clear mission: to provide traffic management solutions in the Northern Territory that prioritise safety, reliability, and efficiency.
While operating a landscaping business in Darwin, our founder and CEO, Chris Boyer, repeatedly encountered unreliable traffic support for worksites. Recognising a gap in the market, Chris partnered with a specialist traffic planner and a respected local businessman to create a traffic management company grounded in local knowledge, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to safety.
From two vehicles and a single client, Trafficwerx NT has grown into the Northern Territory’s leading traffic management provider, employing over 50 Territory-based staff and operating a fleet of 90 vehicles, including TMA trucks, specialised plant machinery, and equipment designed for high-risk work zones.
We now manage traffic for major infrastructure projects, remote roadworks, emergency incidents, and high-profile community events across Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Daly Waters, and regional NT.
Our dedication to innovation, compliance, and road safety has been recognised nationally. In 2024, we were awarded TMAA Traffic Management Company of the Year and Traffic Management Project of the Year, and in previous year’s our team member Sam Eveleigh earned both Indigenous and National Traffic Controller of the Year.
Despite our growth, our foundation remains: Territory proud, safety focused, and committed to getting everyone home safely.
Our team is the backbone of Trafficwerx NT, and our culture prioritises safety, support, and professionalism. Every member, from frontline traffic crew to planners and designers, operations coordinators, and logistics staff, plays a key role in delivering safe and efficient traffic solutions across the Northern Territory.
We maintain a zero-accident policy through continual training, mentoring, and upskilling, ensuring crews are prepared for urban congestion, remote site logistics, and complex regulatory requirements.
Our workforce follows the Building and Construction Award 2010, guaranteeing fair wages, correct allowances, and proper break management. Each team member is equipped with PPE, hydration, and heat management tools, reflecting our commitment to worker safety and wellbeing.
A unique strength of Trafficwerx NT is that our entire management team began as Traffic Controllers. They’ve worked the same roads, endured the same conditions, and earned the respect of crews they now lead. Many maintain current NT traffic control accreditation and continue to work on-site, keeping operations grounded and informed.
It’s this deep operational experience, Territory expertise, and safety-first ethos that gives our clients confidence. When you partner with Trafficwerx NT, you’re backed by a team that knows the Northern Territory, delivers results, and always shows up when it matters most.
Trafficwerx NT is proud to be consistently recognised at both a Territory and national level for excellence in traffic management, safety, and project delivery. These achievements reflect the dedication of our people, the strength of our systems, and our ongoing commitment to raising industry standards across the Northern Territory and beyond.
