About Trafficwerx NT
The Story
Since our founding in March 2010, Trafficwerx NT has been committed to delivering reliable and tailored traffic management solutions, with a level of personalised customer service not offered by our competitors.
While managing a landscaping business in Darwin which regularly required traffic services, owner and CEO Chris Boyer recognised an opportunity in the market place. Enlisting the services of a specialised planner and an experienced local businessman, Chris established Trafficwerx NT — starting with only two vehicles and one client. His professional and driven approach to safety on the roads has been the key to the company’s success.
Since that time our company has grown to become the largest of its kind in the Northern Territory. We currently employ over 40 staff, operate 38 vehicles, and have an extensive inventory of traffic management equipment. Our continued success was recently recognised at the TMAA Awards, where Trafficwerx NT member Sam Eveleigh won both the Indigenous Traffic Controller of the Year 2022 and National Traffic Controller of the Year 2022.
The People
Trafficwerx NT has been built on a strong foundation of safety first. We pride ourselves on the safety of our operations and have implemented continuous training in order to maintain a zero accident policy, which we have achieved to date.
At Trafficwerx NT we follow the “Building and Construction Award 2010”. We pay our staff all the correct rates, penalties, and allowances, we supply their PPE, ice, monitor their temperatures, and ensure they have all correct breaks. We believe our people are our most important asset and their safety and well-being are paramount.
Everybody in our management team started work with the company as a Traffic Controller and continue to maintain their accreditation and work a shift on the road from time to time. We believe that this is what gives our company the edge over our competitors – we understand traffic management.
