Application Requirements

Completing the necessary training and certifications for traffic control in the Northern Territory is mandatory to be considered for a position. Required qualifications include:

  • White Card (Introduction to Construction Industry)
  • TMI1 and TC1 – Category 1 Combined Ticket (Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Management Plan)
  • TMI2 and TC2 – Category 2 Combined Ticket (Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Management Plan)
  • NT Driver’s License (Able to Operate Automatic & Manual Vehicles)

Current WZ2 and WZ3 ticket holders are also eligible to apply. Interstate ticket holders have the option to transfer their tickets to the NT’s new Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) framework.
