TMAA NT and CCF NT Breakfast Meeting: An Insightful Morning with Hon. Joel Bowden

On the 18th of July, the Traffic Management Association of Australia Northern Territory (TMAA NT) and the Civil Contractors Federation Northern Territory (CCF NT) had the distinct pleasure of co-hosting a dynamic breakfast event with the Hon. Joel Bowden, Northern Territory’s Minister for Infrastructure, Planning, and Logistics. The event, a true gathering of minds, showcased the collaborative spirit of the NT’s civil construction and traffic management sectors.

A Word from the Minister

Minister Bowden captivated the audience with his valuable insights into the key projects currently underway and those on the horizon in the Northern Territory. His recognition of the vital role played by the civil construction and traffic management sectors in the region’s development was particularly heartening. Minister Bowden’s remarks underscored the importance of our work and provided a clear vision of the growth and opportunities ahead.

Key Contributions and Future Directions

In addition to Minister Bowden, the breakfast featured informative presentations from notable industry figures. Patsy Thomas of Austroads and Sean Stieber from the Department of Infrastructure, Planning, and Logistics shared their perspectives on the rollout of the Nationally Harmonised Framework for Temporary Traffic Management in the Territory. Their insights into this framework were invaluable, highlighting the efforts to ensure safety and efficiency in traffic management practices across the NT.

A Collaborative Effort

This event would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of our partners. A big thank you goes to Tom Harris from CCF NT for co-organising the meeting. The turnout from our NT Members was impressive, demonstrating the strong community and commitment to progress within our industry.
